Doorbell Camera Captures Neighbors Saving Man's Life During Heart Attack

While a doorbell camera captured neighbors saving a man’s life during a near-fatal attack, it’s hard to imagine the emotions being felt by the four individuals present in those critical moments. Inside Edition’s reporter shares the story of that frightening day!

53-year-old Chris Favorin was exercising at home when he was struck by recognizable symptoms. Unable to raise his arms and with tightness in his chest, Chris and his fiance, Beth, feared he might not have time to get to a hospital.

So, instead, Chris went next door to the home of neighbors Christopher and Rachel Mowry.

The video shows Chris making his way onto the Mowry’s porch. After ringing the doorbell, Chris leans over and rests his arms on the porch railing, soon dropping onto his hands and knees.  Rachel and Christopher, both home at the time, come to the door and begin assisting Chris.

Fortunately, Rachel and her husband know how to handle emergencies. Rachel is a nurse practitioner, and Christopher is a firefighter/EMT. Christopher Mowry shared on Facebook, “Our neighbor experienced 10/10 chest and left arm pain. He came to our porch and rang our doorbell for help. Just 2 min after ringing the doorbell and Rachel and I answering, he went into cardiac arrest."

The couple administered chest compressions, and paramedics used a defibrillator once they arrived. Chris Favorin regained a pulse after fourteen minutes!

Chris was treated for what is often called a “widowmaker” and has made a miraculous recovery. He met with his neighbors after being released from the hospital to offer his appreciation. Chris states in IE’s report, “I believe God put them in my path that day. Without them being there, I know I would not have made it.” Beth calls the two heroes!

Five weeks after that terrifying health crisis, Chris and Beth were married in their hometown of York, Pennsylvania! Rachel and Christopher were there to share the day with them, too.

What a special day that must have been. Certainly, the newlyweds have an even greater appreciation for their future after what they went through so recently!

“For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”” Galatians 5:14

Caretaker Sings “Amazing Grace” To Group Of Rescued Donkeys

Marengo, Ohio, is the home of one cuddling caretaker who sings “Amazing Grace” to a group of rescued donkeys!

Meet Dean Fagan. He and his wife Dawn own a 67-acre donkey sanctuary, where they love and love on several miniature donkeys, including Ivy, Mr. Donker Donks, and Riley, among others that have lived on their farm in the years since they began rescuing.

Watch as Dean serenades one of the herd, the donkey nuzzling up close to his neck. Three others surround Dean, too, as he sits straddling a large piece of corrugated pipe.

The setting is beautiful. Mature trees, wood fencing, a red outbuilding, and a lovely home surround the pasture where Dean and his donkeys are chillin’. However, it’s not the vista the burros care about; they’re all about the patting, the petting, and the music!

Two other mokes hang out by the fence, and all of the gang must feel like they’re in Heaven! Dean sings one of the most popular hymns that has ever been lifted Heavenward, but he doesn’t get the lyrics just right. No matter! The words aren’t nearly as important as the warmth Dean shows his donkeys as he sings.

Drew sings lots of songs for his four-legged friends. Among them is a tune once recorded by Burt Bacharach and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Dean and Dawn’s donkeys couldn’t be more content!

When the Fagan kids grew up and left home, Dean and Dawn decided to try something new. Not quite ready for retirement and with the flexibility to work from home as recruiters for advertising executives, they decided to rescue their first donkey.

Dean told ABC6 in 2018, “It just brings so much pleasure to Dawn and I. Our offices overlook the pasture where the donkeys are… We enjoy being around them and listening to them and seeing them run and play.”

Good for you, Dean and Dawn, for figuring out a way to give and receive love every day! You make the world a better place!

“Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.” Psalms 20:6

Struggling Artist Morgan Myles Earns 4-Chair Turn With 'Hallelujah' Blind Audition

This singer is absolutely incredible and easy to watch. In this video, struggling artist Morgan Myles earns a 4-chair turn with “Hallelujah” in the blind audition.

At the start of this video, Morgan barely opens her mouth, and the judges are looking at one another in excitement over her voice. The two female judges turn their chairs immediately and cheer. Morgan sings beautifully.

She has wonderful vocal control. The male judges then turn. She has grit and vocal power. She takes a completely new take on a well-known song and makes it her own. Morgan is a true artist.

All of the judges stand in ovation over her talent. They smile and laugh.

Morgan tears up and appears very humble. The judges rave over her audition and they tell her it was one of the best they have seen. Morgan shares that her musical journey has been long and not easy.

Morgan is all in with her talent and giftings. She says that she played 117 shows last year acoustic in almost every state. Morgan raves about the support of her parents. She is dreaming that this will be a platform to propel her into her dream career.

The judges all fight over her to choose their teams. She is so gifted, and everyone has positive things to say about her. Morgan has a clear God-given talent, but she also has worked very hard to get where she is today.

Her story reminds us of long-term faithfulness even in hard times. We are called to this type of life as believers in Christ. We are called to patient endurance.

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;  perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5:3-4

Relive Dolly Parton's First Appearance On The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson

Dolly Parton is one of those entertainers who is intriguing and fun to watch. Check out this video to relive Dolly Parton’s first appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

At the start of the video, Johnny introduces Dolly to the stage. She is in an all-pink original jumpsuit. Dolly comes out singing, “Higher and Higher.” She sings with such zeal and expression.

The song appears to have such a gospel-centered message. God has lifted us up out of the pit of sin and seated us with Christ.

Dolly sits down with Johnny and laughs and is so excited to be on this show. She shares her excitement to be on the show that it is her birthday. Dolly says that country music is shared by ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

Dolly jokes that she was one of twelve children. She shares how wonderful growing up in the mountains was for learning the importance of life. Dolly is then asked about her husband, Carl Dean, and she shares about him and jokes that he is not her biggest fan.

Johnny then jokes that Carl can go outside for a moment because Dolly is going to sing again.

Her second song of choice is “Me and Little Andy.” She sings a sweet lullaby style with just Dolly and her guitar. It is an intimate song about an abandoned little girl who shows up on a doorstep with her dog Andy.

The wonderful thing about Dolly’s music and country is that it tells a story. She has shared two heartfelt and impactful stories on this show, and she knows how to have fun and laugh at herself. This is a classic video to get to know Dolly before she got big.

“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” Psalm 40:2

Royal Family Sings 'The Lord Is My Shepherd' During The Queen's Funeral

It was an emotional day learning of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. In this video, the royal family sings, “The Lord is My Shepherd” during the queen’s funeral.

It is encouraging to see royalty and national leaders all singing to the King of kings. In this clip, we see the royal family singing at the funeral service for the queen.

Standing in the ornate sanctuary, people everywhere wearing black and paying their respects to the Queen, who is laid to rest in her dignified coffin. There are clips zooming in on specific family members as they sing. Most appear to be familiar with the song and are singing along.

There is a stunning clip from the top of the sanctuary scaling down, revealing the beauty in the architecture of the chapel. Then, the camera zooms in on her beautiful crown and jewels laid on her coffin.

It is precious seeing Prince William and his family singing along. Little George appears so sincere in his worship. There are gorgeous flowers laid out on the late monarch’s casket with pink and red blooms.

This is a moment of holiness and reverence captured on film. We are able to get a look into the service honoring the life of the queen and ultimately giving glory to God.

I am certain this hymn brought great comfort to loved ones knowing that Queen Elizabeth II is now with her Good Shepherd. This hymn was composed by Francois Rous and is a Scripture song coming from Psalm 23.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.  He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 23:1-3

Chick-Fil-A Employee Tackles Attempted Carjacker

Is there anything Chick-Fil-A employees won’t do under their mission to serve? One Chick-Fil-A employee tackles an attempted carjacker in order to save a woman and her baby from a wanna-be thief. Mykel Gordon is the young man you can see in the video and why he is being hailed as a hero.

A woman was taking her baby out of her car when 43-year-old William Branch aggressively approached her with a stick and demanded her car keys. When she refused, William grabbed her keys and jumped in her car. He thought he was home free until the woman began screaming for help.

Once Mykel heard the woman screaming, this brave young man tackled William to the ground. As they tousled on the hot Florida pavement, Mykel took a few punches to the face, but he hung on and refused to let William  get away with his actions.

A few seconds later, other Chick-Fil-A employees and onlookers helped Mykel restrain William until the police arrived. William must not have ever been to a Chick-Fil-A before. Everyone knows they have insane customer service and they will go above and beyond. It’s like they have superpowers when they put their uniform on. They are everyday heroes who serve to their best abilities–all with a side of fries.

Let’s give Mykel a shout-out and blessings for his courage to stop a carjacking in its tracks. Thank God for Mykel’s actions. Who knows how this story would've turned out without his superpower of courage?

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."

Starved Dog Makes Miraculous Transformation After Rescue

Phelps was in danger of becoming an actual angel. He was found in the bottom of a sewer drain. How he got there, no one knows, but this starved dog makes a miraculous transformation after being rescued. When this poor pooch was found, he was beyond unrecognizable.

He was emancipated, and his paw pads were damaged from being in the sewer, and his tail was suffering from gangrene. Phelps cowered near any human because he didn’t know if he would receive their wrath or mercy. Phelps was created to be a companion, to be loved, and the only thing he knew was pain and loneliness until he met his furever dog mom, Crystal.

Stunned by Phelps' abuse, she got him to the vet as quickly as she could to get him the care he so desperately needed. After his tail was removed, he seemed to be in better spirits, but he was still afraid of people. But Crystal wasn’t going to give up on him. She took him home, and he explored his new surroundings and met his new doggie siblings.

Slowly, this sweet fella started to heal and came out of his shell one day at a time, especially when he got toys to play with. His dog mom doesn’t think he’s ever had toys before. It’s so adorable to watch him chomp on his new toys and prance off to a corner of the house where he likes to hide them.

The transformation from being pure skin and bones to a healthy, spirited pup was absolutely amazing to watch. Not only does he love his dog mom, he also adores his new big brother Kato. Wherever Kato goes, Phelps is sure to be by his side.

Isn't it amazing how love can take a broken soul and transform it into something vibrant and full of life? Transformation in our own lives starts when we let God love us. Transformation is not only about changing how you look or changing how you behave. True transformation is about our souls. Phelps is one blessed dog who now has a story of what love can do.

Psalms 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Joyce Meyer Reminds Everyone That God Is With Us All The Time

No matter what your fear is, no matter how bad you failed, or how much you sinned, he is waiting for you to come to him. In this uplifting message, Joyce Meyer reminds everyone that God is with us all the time.

Early in her walk with the Lord, Joyce was being taught through Christ that he was with her all the time. It didn’t matter if she was going to the grocery store, running errands, or sitting on the bathroom floor feeling the weight of the sins she had committed. God was teaching her he was with her no matter where she was or what she had done.

The fact that God is with us wherever we go or whatever we do might seem like a daunting reality. Yet at the same time, it’s comforting to know his presence is always with us. Joyce says, “A lot of times, we think we want to hide from God when we sin. You know, trying to hide from God has been around since the garden of Eden. That’s the first thing Adam and Eve did when they sinned was to try to go hide.” But we can never hide from God. He knows everything, all the time. Joyce even reminds us that God knows about the sins we will commit in the future. That still doesn’t stop him from pursuing us and loving us.

“I don’t know about you, but I’m glad that God doesn’t reveal to me everything he knows about me. Lord Jesus, just please reveal things about me a little at a time,” she said, and the audience agreed with a hearty, “Amen.”

But this is where the lesson she’s teaching gets good. She reminds us that when we do something wrong, we shouldn’t shrink back and hide from God in fear because fear has no place in our walk with Christ. Instead, when we mess up, we should run directly into the arms of Jesus so shame doesn’t get a grip on our lives.

When shame gets a grip, it can choke our faith and smoother the precious relationship we have with our Savior. Even though it feels like we need to get things in order before we seek his forgiveness, we need to stand on the truth that he is already with us and waiting for us to come to him. Joyce reminds us that we are human and in need of his grace. It takes a lot of courage to face our fears and face our failures.

If you’re watching this video today, know this message was given with you in mind. No matter your fear, no matter your failure, run to him.

Isaiah 41:10 “Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

Social Media Plea Helps Reunite Couple With Lost Wedding Ring

Against all odds, one couple’s social media plea helped them become reunited with a lost wedding ring!

There’s a needle in a haystack, and then there’s a family ring in the Atlantic Ocean. Most would feel more hopeful with the hay!

Francesca and Austin Teal were tossing a football on North Beach in Hampton, New Hampshire, when Francesca’s wedding ring escaped her finger just as her hand made contact with the football. “I put my hand out, the football hit my hand in the perfect way that my ring popped right off and fell into the ocean,” said Francesca.

What had been a beautiful day turned gloomy very quickly! Can you imagine the panic?

Austin immediately realized what had happened, and the two frantically began searching. But, after a few hours, and with the enormity of the task sinking in, Francesca decided to turn to Facebook.

With a desperate post and a photo of the double ring—two had been soldered together—Francesca sought help. Francesca provided all the details of the tide and their location, along with the very important fact that the ring was a family heirloom, having passed down for three generations.

With that, treasure hunter Lou Asci, metal detector in hand, headed to North Beach and started searching! Lou spent two full days scanning the area without any luck. “The first two days that I was here and had to drive home after not getting it was extremely disappointing,” Asci said.

With utter determination, Lou canvassed the shore a third day. That was the day! Lou found the gem, confirmed with a text to Francesca that it was truly the one, and closed the case!

Francesca and Austin were in delighted disbelief! Lou had found their family treasure! No doubt, Francesca has strategies for making sure this doesn’t happen again. Perhaps, there is a sizing planned or a pair of gloves designated just for beach sports?

In any case, they are extremely grateful to Lou! Sometimes, one person can do what seems undoable. Thankfully, there are people who step up in those very times! They might be the real jewels!

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field” Matthew 13:44

82-Year-Old Goes Viral With Epic Wedding Dance Moves

It is always encouraging to see an older person living life to the fullest! In this amazing video, an 82-year-old goes viral with epic wedding dance moves.

At the start of this clip, we see that the 82-year-old in the suit still has the moves. He is dancing it up at a wedding. There are people all around him, but you cannot help but watch him as his high level of energy shows.

He is the life of the party. I do not know how he has kept up so well with his health, but he moves like a 20-year-old. As he moves his legs and his arms, he is having a great time.

The guy videoing says that he is so impressed and this man is his favorite. He tells him that he would give him the golden buzzer to send him straight to the finals for his incredible talent and energy.

It is not every day that we witness something quite like this. A man of such age has such joy and excitement while dancing. He is determined to have a good time and be a part of the dance floor.

This man reminds us to enjoy every moment in life. No matter what age we are, we can always find joy in Christ in the small things. We may not all have this level of health, but we can all enjoy the blessings and opportunities that come our way.

How can we rejoice, pray and give thanks today? This is God’s will for our lives and as we witness this man dance, may it remind us to be thankful always.

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

6-Year-Old Sings Celtic Classic 'Wild Mountain Thyme'

Check out this wonderful video of a 6-year-old girl singing the Celtic classic 'Wild Mountain Thyme.'

“O the summer time has come, and the trees are sweetly bloomin'
The wild mountain thyme, grows around the bloomin' heather
Will ye go, lassie, go? And we'll all go together, to pull wild mountain thyme
All around the bloomin' heather, will ye go, lassie, go?”

What a stunning video, and what a talented little girl named Emma Sophia.

“Emma Sophia (age 6) performs the much-loved celtic folk classic, Wild Mountain Thyme, also known as Will Ye Go Lassie Go,” reads the caption of this YouTube video. “This video was filmed on the Great Blasket Island off the Dingle Peninsula in Co. Kerry, Ireland. The island is a place of incredible beauty and although deserted since 1953, it boasts a rich literary heritage of the people who once lived there. Life was incredibly hard for those who lived on the island, but they were very resilient and survived through the most difficult times in Irish history. Emma Sophia was delighted to perform this song and showcase the beauty of this island.”

As Emma Sophia sings, she can be seen wandering around the beautiful island full of such breathtaking views. With the music and the scenery, it’s a video that I could watch over and over again!

According to her YouTube page, “Irish girl Emma Sophia loves to sing, and during lockdown, creating music videos became a family activity. She quickly gained a loyal fan base and went viral in March 2020 at the age of 4 when her video of Danny Boy, filmed in West Cork, garnered millions of views across social media platforms.”

We hope that you enjoyed this video of Emma Sophia singing 'Wild Mountain Thyme' today and it was able to bring a smile to your face!

Spiritually Famished?

Hunger depletes our ability to focus, maintain self-control, and remain attentive to God unless we are intentional when fasting. Although Matthew 4:4 (NKJV) reminds us that “Man does not live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God”, He made us both spiritual and physical beings. We must care for both our physical and spiritual hunger if we want to remain strong.

Luke Combs Stops Concert For 2 Young Boys Who Saved Money To Attend

Hard work really does pay off. Luke Combs stops the concert for two young boys who saved money to attend his concert! Bo Fenderson and his best friend Tanner Hale absolutely love Luke Combs. When they learned Luke was putting on a concert near their hometown, they really wanted to go.

But in trying times like these, trying to make a buck stretch is no small feat. So the boys decided to get to work. They stacked cords of wood for a neighbor. It took the boys two days which equated to about ten hours of work, and in the video, pictures reveal the wood stacks were taller than both of the boys!

I imagine their hands were callused and full of silvers, but that didn’t seem to slow them down or detract their eyes from the prize of one hundred dollars each. Both the boys were ecstatic when the job was done. They now had the precious resources they needed to purchase tickets to attend the Luke Combs concert. It likely sounded like sweet victory the moment they witnessed Luke coming on stage with their very own eyes.

Before attending the concert, the boys made signs to show Luke and other fellow concertgoers. They wanted everyone to know how hard they worked in order to get there. One sign read, “We made one hundred bucks stacking five cords of wood and bought two Luke Combs tickets. Man, he sounds good!” The other sign read, “Our dads swore it was a waste of time. Oh, but they were wrong! Today’s my twelfth birthday. Oh Lord, when it rains, it pours!”

If that isn’t the cheekiest sign you’ve ever seen, I don’t know what it is. But we all know how sweet it feels to work hard and get a job done. This sweet story gets even better when the boys were more than rewarded for their hard work. Luke actually saw these cute signs from the stage. Then he did something no one expected. He stopped the concert and talked to Tanner and Bo. But wait, it gets even better. Luke then pulled over a hundred dollars from his own wallet and gave it to them.

Bo and Tanner will forever learn the lesson of what it means to work hard in order to achieve their dreams, no matter how big or small. We all know that hard work and dedication are the way to success, but the path isn’t always easy or exactly clear; it might be filled with splinters, dirt, and grime, but the efforts do truly pay off.

Colossians 3:23-24 "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
