Retired Dad Spotted A Homeless Man On The Street, Now They're Best Friends

There are moments when we see great acts of kindness. In this video, a retired dad spotted a homeless man on the street, now they’re best friends. Scott Kuczmarski went to visit his son in California. While he was visiting, he met a man who was homeless named Robert Pineda. Scott described meeting Robert. As he was going on a walk with his dog and grumpy about his cold coffee, he saw Robert on a bike with all of his belongings smiling. Scott described the nerves he had going up to a homeless man, but he knew that he was supposed to approach Robert. When he saw him another day, Scott offered Robert some breakfast. Over the next three weeks, the two began a friendship. I love how Scott shares that even though they were from different places and had their own stories, they were the same. Robert was homeless because he did not know he had schizophrenia. This kept him on the streets for 30 years. Scott wanted Robert to seek mental health but knew that he needed to build trust. Scott made a radical move and stayed one night on the streets with Robert. The next day Scott guided Robert to seek medical help. He was able to get medicine that changed his life. Scott helped make a difference in one man’s life and even helped Robert build a house next door to his own. The two are best friends now. Scott’s call to action comes at the end of the video when he shares that he would like people to start helping the homeless. He shares, “580,000 people are sleeping outside on any given night. There are 46 million retired folks like me who got time on their hands.” He goes on to encourage others to get out of their cars, make friends, and listen. Scott not only set an example of caring for the homeless. God Himself calls us to care for the poor. “But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?” 1 John 3:17

Irish Dancers Perform Mesmerizing A Cappella Routine

As the dark room is lit up with spotlights on the stage, a group of over 20 Irish step dancers begins creating an incredible melody by using their feet. The young people dance in such unison it is as if they are an army. The dancers performed at the Fusion Dance Festival. The routine was created by Craig Ashurst and Declan McHale. As I watched the performance, I pondered how each person was giving the choreography their all, on top of staying in rhythm with the entire group. This not only takes personal talent but great levels of teamwork. Just when you think the stage cannot get any more mesmerizing, the dancers pause halfway through. Suddenly they kick the tempo up showing their skills on foot. As the team moves quicker the lights flash faster, the crowd is amazed. It is as if these young people are as in unity as the New York City Rockettes. When the routine ends, all of the performers smile, high-five, and hug each other. One jokester even does the “floss” dance while the team exits the stage. The group did an outstanding job and we can learn a lot from their perseverance, focus, and friendship. Just like these young people are trained and equipped to step in time, we as believers are called to walk by the Spirit. I could not help but think about how the Bible tells us to be in step with the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:25 says, “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” Is there a way in which you are stepping out of God’s best for your life? How can you begin to stay in step with His ways? Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can follow the Lord’s leading.

Mom Captures Teen Babysitter Singing Like A Real Disney Princess

There are so many hidden talents out in the world. In this adorable video, a mom captures her teen babysitter singing like a real Disney princess. Delaney Wilson is an 18-year-old babysitter for a sweet little girl. There is nothing more appealing than singing Disney songs with little ones. While Delaney was singing, the girl's mother, Nicki Maher, was secretly filming her. She said, “I was like, I want her to hear herself when she knows nobody’s watching.” As you hear this humble and shy teenager belt out to Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid, you will be in awe. Her voice is angelic and sounds as good as the original vocalist, Jodi Benson. Delaney is sitting at a small table while she and the little girl brush the Barbie doll’s hair. The video of Delaney singing has been viewed over 10 million times. Nicki shares how she is moved to tears when Delaney sings. It is a sweet connection when someone takes time to love on and invest in your children. I know this young girl will never forget the days of her sweet babysitter singing Disney to her. Up where they walk, Up where they run Up where they stay all day in the sun Wandering free, Wish I could be Part of that world Just like this babysitter was doing something kind in secret, we as believers are called to bless others in secret. Although the context of this verse is directed more towards financial giving, we can have the same attitude of generosity with others with our time and talents. Matthew 6:4 says, “so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.”

Employer Invites Mom To Bring Son To Interview When She Has No Child Care

This video is one of the cutest things that I have seen in a while. An employer invites a mom to bring her son to an interview when she has no child care. A sweet mom shares how she lost her job during COVID and was going for a job interview, only to find out that they were kid-friendly. They told her that her child was welcome to come along. She made the hilarious decision to get her toddler son interview ready. She starts by combing his hair. Then he walks out in a swanky blue suit and bow tie. He washes the stroller wheels. He gets buckled up in the car as he waves adorably while holding his stuffed animal. When the two arrive at the office, the son is carrying his own resume into the building. The mom shares that “he ate the owner's pickle from his sandwich and drooled.” The mother shared how the interview was a great experience and it was a wonderful company. At the end of the video, the boy’s resume is shown on the screen. It reads things like “can destroy a clean space in 30 seconds” and “go downstairs without holding my mom’s hand.” His education read, “Mom and Dad University” with a 4.0. This adorable video reminds me just like this company valued the child, our God loves the little children too. When we hear a crying baby on an airplane or see a toddler having a fit over a toy in the store, may we be gracious. Let us show kindness and compassion to others with young ones. “Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me." Mark 9:37

A hopeful message

It is time to study the Bible.

Female Vocalist Sings Chilling Rendition Of 'The Sound Of Silence'

Viral voice Malinda performs a chilling rendition of ‘The Sound Of Silence’ that will give you goosebumps. Simon & Garfunkel originally released this iconic song in 1964. Since that time, many artists have lent their voices to the tune. One of the most well-known covers comes from the rock band, Disturbed, in 2015. Recently, a cappella group Pentatonix released their own version and it skyrocketed the tune back into popularity. Today, we’re hearing an entirely new rendition, with a nod to classical music, and it’s absolutely stunning. “Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains within the sound of silence” Today, viral sensation Malinda is putting her own spin on ‘The Sound Of Silence. You may recognize Malinda from one of her many videos, including and acoustic rendition of ‘How Can I Keep From Singing’ at the Chapel of St. Joseph of Arimathea, more commonly known as the Washington National Cathedral. The performance was seen all over social media and now she’s doing it again with this chilling cover. Just listen as the belts outs these famous lyrics in such a mesmerizing manner. “Take my arms that I might reach you"" But my words, like silent raindrops fell And echoed In the wells of silence” There’s no doubt that Malinda is a true talent and we’re all waiting for what she comes up with next.

One-Man Band Draws A Crowd As He Plays For Strangers On The Street

This one-man band draws a crowd as he plays for strangers on the street, but you have to know who he’s really playing for. With no plan for his future, Reinhardt Buhr started his musical journey when he was 19. He taught himself to play guitar by watching Youtube videos and eventually formed his band, Wild Lettuce, with a drummer he had met. After gaining fame in South Africa and consistently performing, he lost himself to fame, drugs, and alcohol. It took him years to find his way back, but about five years ago, Reinhardt and his wife found God and His salvation. Reinhardt said that one day, God told him to make music for Him. Since then, his life and his performances have been for the Lord. Clearly, Reinhardt was meant to share his gifts with the world. His God-given musical talent to teach himself so many different instruments and create music on the spot is a blessing to both him and everyone who hears it. In the video, Reinhardt uses technology to loop short recordings of different instruments to create something truly amazing. And to think, the entire piece started with just a simple triangle! Although he didn’t sing in a traditional sense, he did use his voice as an additional instrument. He even created around five different loops with the cello, one right after the other! I can’t imagine the amount of practice that something like this takes. Throughout the performance, strangers can’t help but stop and listen. The music is beautiful and entrancing but watching him put it all together so easily is incredible. He stops and starts different loops to make different sections and uses older loops later with a brand new instrument. Honestly, the performance is difficult to put into words. You have to watch it for yourself to truly witness the beauty of his talent! For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Sleepy Walrus Takes A Nap On The Side Of A Boat

Check out this sleeping walrus that takes a nap on the side of a boat - is hitchhiking in the ocean a thing? This gigantic creature has traveled across the ocean catching rides on boats. Wally the walrus has visited Wales, Ireland, Cornwall, and Spain in the past few months. Can we really blame him for wanting some rest? Walruses normally live around the North Pole in colder waters. So researchers are pretty confused by Wally’s adventures! Conservation organizations have been tracking his trail. Wally has tried getting on many different boats along his journey. Sometimes he caught a ride, and sometimes he ended up breaking the boats or flipping them over. He’s probably sorry about the damage. In this video, Wally hopped on the boat around the Isles of Scilly. Almost 30 miles out from his last spotting around Cornwall, Wally is certainly on the move! Nobody has any idea of how he managed to end up so far away from his northern home, but they hope he will manage to make his back without intervention. But obviously, he isn’t opposed to some help along the way. Since the warmer environment is considerably different from his home, researchers want to make sure that he’s adapting to his surroundings and staying healthy. So far, so good! Poor Wally clearly squeezed himself into that boat nook when desperate for a nap. This gorgeous lump of blubber probably weighs a couple thousand pounds. Walrus’ lengths range from around 7 to 12 feet. No wonder he barely fits! Although he resembles a gigantic comfy cushion, researchers warned the boaters to give Wally plenty of room and to not bother him. After all, he’s not threatening anybody’s safety -- just needs a little snooze! We pray for Wally to return safely to his northern home, doing as little damage as possible to passing boats. Good luck, Wally!
