Kathie Lee Gifford Shares How Her Faith in Jesus Kept Her Out Of An Insane Asylum

Author and former television talk show host Kathie Lee Gifford says that if not for her faith in and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, she would have ended up in an insane asylum.

Life can often be cruel, sad and lonely. Unfortunately, we will all encounter painful, heartbreaking and grief-filled circumstances. Storms and deep, dark valleys are part of life on Earth. No one can avoid and escape this life without experiencing their fair share of those situations.

Sadly, some circumstances may get so intense and gut-wrenching that they push you to your breaking point. It may even get to the point that you feel you can no longer continue and that going on feels too tall of a task. Kathie Lee Gifford fully understands how painful life can be and how it can drive even the most sane, level-headed person to their limit.

In an interview with Fox News, Kathie credits her relationship with and faith in Jesus Christ for keeping her sane during life’s storms and valleys.

“I would be in an insane asylum without Jesus,” she said. “I would. I’ve been through a lot of crappy stuff in my life. I’ve been blessed beyond belief as well.”

She admits that while she has been blessed in life, she is certain that some of what she has experienced would have sent her away for a long time if not for Christ.

“But I’ve had a lot of things that ended up being very public, too, that would have put me away for a long time and done a lot of damage to my family, to my everything,” she said. “If I hadn’t, I was already holding Jesus’ hand. When you go through the kinds of things that I went through in, you know, 20 years, you just cling, you just cling tighter.”

Psalm 32:7 “You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah).

How can God be “good” if my life is in turmoil? Isn’t He in charge? #toughquestionsforgod #dailydevotion #toughquestionsforgoddailydevotions

Son Fulfills Promise to His Mom with Surprise New Car, Bringing Her to Tears

One young man fulfilled his promise to his mom by surprising her with a new car, which brought her to tears.

There is so much wrong and evil about this broken and fallen world. There aren’t many people, if any, you can place 100% trust and certainty in today. Politicians and others in leadership positions constantly say one thing, promise this or that, and then turn around and do the exact opposite, breaking that promise. Essentially, people aren’t great at keeping their word.

When it comes down to it, that’s all we have, right? If I can’t trust what you say and that you will keep your word, then why bother talking to that person? That is why marriage vows and other sacred promises are so important. The foundation of those relationships is based on individuals keeping their words and promises.

A clip posted on YouTube captures a young man fulfilling a promise he made to his mother. As a 10-year-old, Tyler told his mom he would buy her a new car. The clip mentions that as a child, he saw how his mother struggled with her vehicle, and he wanted to do something to help and show her how much he loved her.

Well, 11 years later, as a 21-year-old, that young man came through on that promise. He kept his word to his mother. It’s a moment that is likely to bring tears to your eyes, like it did for the boy’s mother.

In the video, the woman sits in the driver’s seat as Tyler asks her about the car’s comfortability before the big moment.

“Is the seat comfortable,” Tyler asks his mom.

“Very comfortable,” she says.

“Well, better get used to it because it’s your car,” Tyler tells her as he tries to hand her the keys.

She does not believe him, even going so far as to ask if he’s lying to her.

Tyler repeatedly confirms that, yes, the vehicle is hers. She then breaks into tears, unable to believe that her son has just gifted her a car.

What a sweet moment of a son keeping his word and fulfilling his promise to his mom.

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slowing in keeping his word, as he seems to some, but he is waiting in mercy for you, not desiring the destruction of any, but that all may be turned from their evil ways.”

Bride’s Emotional Vow Reading Leaves Groom and Wedding Guests in Tears

One bride’s emotional vow reading left her groom and their wedding guests in tears.

Marriage is a big step and commitment for every couple. During the lovely wedding ceremony, the bride and groom promise to stay with one another for the rest of their lives. It doesn’t matter the circumstance or situation – good, bad or indifferent – they agree to remain by each other’s side.

While a wedding and a marriage are about making and keeping promises to one another, they are also about doing things to show the other person how much you care and love them. There are an endless number of ways to show your significant other love. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as your act shows that you did it for them and considered their thoughts and feelings.

A simple gesture or act could mean the world to your significant other. A heartwarming, tear-jerking act captured how one woman used her wedding vows to show how much she cares for and loves her husband-to-be. But it wasn’t so much what she said, but how she said them that had the groom and their wedding guests bawling.

While standing at a microphone and reading from a small booklet, the bride surprised everyone at the wedding, including the groom, by speaking in Armenian. Seconds after she started speaking in Armenian, it was too much for the groom. Overcome with emotion, he immediately turns away from the camera.

She begins her vows by saying, “I promise to learn Armenian because I know how important it is to you.”

When the groom turns back around to face the bride, he is on the verge of tears, eyes red and his lip quivering at the woman’s surprising and beautiful act.

The camera also catches several guests wiping their eyes, who were also moved by the bride’s loving gesture.

She ends her moving vows by promising to remain by his side through life’s highs and lows, even if that means going to “the place where the donkey dies.” It’s unclear what that means, but it gets a big laugh.

Genesis 2:24 “Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.”

Christian Musician Ben Fuller Shares His Powerful Testimony During Prison Concert

Incredibly talented Christian musician Ben Fuller shared his powerful and moving testimony during a prison concert.

Sin has done a number on our world, wrecking and utterly destroying everything imaginable. It has obliterated relationships and careers and upended entire lives. As a result of sin, it has created a world that is a lost place full of broken people who are hurting and calling out for help.

Everyone on Earth is a sinner, with the Bible stating that all have fallen short of the glory of God. While all have sinned and turned away from God, the prison system is full of people serving time after having run afoul of the law. Rightly or wrongly, many would consider the people who make up the prison population to be the worst of the worst. But God also sent His son for them as well. His love and forgiveness can redeem those men and women and make them a new creation in Christ.

In a clip posted on social media, Ben Fuller shows how the Lord saved and changed his life while performing for prisoners in California’s San Quentin prison. Ben mentions how, for more than a decade, he was an addict, but because of the power, love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, he is no longer that person.

He states how, while he was still an addict, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, hoping to become a country music star. However, as Ben soon learned, God had other plans for him. He was invited to church one Sunday, and that invitation forever changed him.

“And as a man that lived as a secret drug addict for 14 and a half years, I stood in that aisle way, and I felt the spirit of God,” Be said. “Romans 10:9 says, ‘If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, and God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. And I did just that, standing there in the aisle just by myself. I gave my full heart over to the Lord, and I said, ‘Fix it! You do it because I can’t!’”

The video ends with Ben telling the prisoners that God is not done with them. They have a purpose, and Ben tells them God has them where they are for a specific reason.

Romans 10:9 “Because, if you say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and have faith in your heart that God has made him come back from the dead, you will have salvation.”

When Helping Others Pushes Us Past Our Capacity

Bonus content exclusively shared here! We know Jesus told us to love others and to care sacrificially for others. But what happens when our concern for others pushes us beyond our capacity? When does our desire to help become unhealthy and, potentially, lead to increased dysfunction?

Child Remains Calm and Calls 911 Amid Mother’s Medical Emergency

A child was able to remain calm and call 911 during her mother’s medical emergency, helping to save her life.

Remaining calm during highly intense, high-pressure situations is a significantly underrated and invaluable skill. Everyone, at one time or another, will encounter circumstances when making the right decision correctly under pressure will make all the difference. It may come up at work, home, the grocery store or someplace else.

When those high-pressure situations happen, many people lose their cool and buckle when it’s time to come through in a big way. However, others can keep their heads, stay calm and provide assistance, even lifesaving help, when the circumstances call for it. That was precisely what one little girl, 5-year-old Zoey, did during a medical emergency.

A clip posted on YouTube states that Zoey helped save her mother’s life when she fainted as she experienced a seizure-like episode. That had to have been a terrifying experience for the youngster. Most people, let alone children, would have lost their composure, at least for a few moments.

But Zoey was able to remain calm during the situation.

The young lady, after her mother fainted, reached out to 911. The short clip includes a portion of the call to emergency services. Zoey is calm, cool and collected. She tells the operator exactly what happened and who she has already contacted about the situation.

Not only that, but Zoey’s mother states that her daughter provided “100% accurate information.”

So, how could someone so young stay calm during such an intense situation? Zoey credits her breathing for allowing her to help save her mother’s life.

“I took 10 deep breaths,” Zoey said. “I took 10 deep breaths. So, I calmed down. I was panicking, but I calmed down.”

This child is not only a hero but is wise enough to know that remaining calm during such a situation is crucial to being able to help others.

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self-control.”

Receiving All God Has For Us With 10th Avenue North's Mike Donehey

When life feels challenging, or our dreams or something we love feels threatened, our anxiety often tempts us to cling all the more tightly to whatever we fear losing. But after courageously stepping back from music for four years, Mike Donehey, lead singer for 10th Avenue North, discovered the difference between clinging, figuratively, to sifting sand and receiving all God has with open hands. Closed fists might allay our worries temporarily, but they also tend to block us from God's best.
