12-Year-Old Saves Therapist From Downing After Remembering A Scene From ‘Stranger Things’

A young man saved his behavioral therapist from drowning in a pool and used a technique he saw on the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things” to do so.

Too much of anything is usually a bad idea, especially entertainment. TV shows and movies are good, allowing people a brief escape from everyday worries and stresses. But consuming too much, binge-watching an entire season or a full series of a show in a small amount of time isn’t great.

However, one young man in Florida showed that sometimes TV, even a massively popular science fiction program, can be educational. That’s because 12-year-old Austin MacMillian saved the life of Jason Piquette, his therapist, and did so by using something he witnessed while viewing an episode of “Stranger Things.”

The clip posted on YouTube states that Austin and Jason were both in the pool when the young man soon noticed something was wrong. Jason had gone underwater, wanting to see how long he could hold his breath. After a while, Jason does not resurface, and that’s when Austin springs into action.

The video shows the young man dragging Jason to the shallow end and propping his face out of the water. Jason said that seeing the young man do that caused him to have chills.

“To see him go under the water and somehow get ahold of me and swim me to the shallow end and up on the stairs is, it’s like, incredible,” Jason said. “I got chills.”

Once Austin got Jason to the shallow end, he started calling for help, hoping someone could help him. But no one was around, and so Austin took matters into his own hands. He conducted CPR, which he had spotted on “Stranger Things.”

Eventually, Austin dislodged water from Jason’s body, and he started breathing once again.

Austin saved Jason’s life that day. The young man is the true definition of a hero!

Bride Spotted Something Blue On Her Wedding Dress And Now Everyone Is In Tears

A bride will have her late father close to her on her big day thanks to a sweet, caring and thoughtful move from her mother.

Weddings and the days leading up to the big, life-changing ceremony are often highly emotional for everybody. Tears can be and are shed by many people in attendance, usually for a variety of reasons. Most of the time, they are tears of happiness for what those two people, standing at the altar, are doing, vowing to stay with one another ‘til death do them part.

However, one mother brought the bride, her daughter, to tears for a very different but extremely sweet reason. A video posted to TikTok explains that while a woman’s wedding dress was at the seamstress being worked on, her mother incorporated “something blue” in a very touching way.

The mother gave the seamstress one of the bride’s late father’s blue t-shirts. As the video shows, a portion of the blue t-shirt had been sewn into the wedding dress in a heart-shaped pattern.

But that wasn’t all!

In the video, after the woman spots the blue piece of fabric in her dress, she notices something odd. This causes her to ask her mother a rather weird question.

“Is this his handwriting?” she asks through tears.

Text in the video explains that the bride’s mother “found his handwriting in an old yearbook and had it sewn into the fabric.”

The bride, thanks to the moving and thoughtful move from her mother, is, understandably, brought to tears. But right before the short, 37-second clip ends, viewers get a look at the message written by her father, which was sewn into her dress.

It’s a blue heart with “I Love You Natalie, Daddy” on it.

That’s a move and a message that would have caused even the most stoic person to shed a tear or two or three.

Emotional Ice Skating Routine To ‘A Thousand Years’ From Ye-lim Kim

A South Korean Olympic figure skater put on a breathtaking and emotional performance, showing off her skills on the ice to a popular song by Christina Perri.

Athletes, in order to be successful, in addition to possessing large amounts of skill and investing thousands of hours into intense practice, must master their body’s movements. That is especially important and true for gymnasts and figure skaters, where the margin for error is slim to none. One false move could mean the difference between a gold medal and failing to qualify.

In a clip posted on YouTube, South Korean figure skater Ye-lim Kim put on an utterly dazzling performance while skating to “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri. She twists, turns, spins and glides around the ice. Her moves are expertly timed and fit the feel and sound of the song.

Around the 45-second mark of the clip, the young woman shows off her immense skills and confidence on the ice. After picking up a fair amount of speed, Ye-lim jumps into the air, spinning a handful of times before landing on the frozen surface. She lands perfectly and without missing a beat, continuing her masterful routine.

Then, at approximately the 2:05-minute mark, Ye-lim once again dazzles the spectators with another jump into the air and spins repeatedly before coming back to the ground.

Her routine is a perfect combination of skill, athleticism and presentation. It has all the elements of a winning routine if she were competing in the Olympics at the time of this performance.

At the end of her marvelous routine, the spectators erupt in a thunderous round of applause. It’s the type of response that the young woman most certainly deserved.

Others were also thoroughly impressed by Ye-lim’s routine. Those who commented on the video raved about her performance. One person called it “stellar” while another called it “absolutely beautiful.”

‘Til Death Do Us Part’ Woman Becomes Guardian For First Husband After Devastating Car Crash

A Texas woman has shown through her loving actions that even after she remarried, she meant “til death do us part” when she said those words to her first husband.

Life is a series of ups and downs, taking people to places and forcing them to confront situations they never imagined. Regardless of what life may throw at people, love and the promises people make to one another do not change. If one doesn’t keep their word, what good is their word or that promise?

Kirsten Armstrong has demonstrated that she meant that she would always love and care for her first husband, even after he suffered a traumatic brain injury. In a clip posted on YouTube, Kristen explains that following the car crash, Brandon was disabled and confined to a wheelchair. This dramatically altered their relationship. Kristen became more of a nurse and mother to Brandon.

So, understanding that she would never ever be able to have children with the love of her life, she divorced Brandon. However, at the same time, she filed to become Brandon’s legal guardian.

Kristen said that Brandon would always be in her life. She stated that she would provide care for him “until the day that I die.” She mentioned that she has been Brandon’s legal guardian for 15 years.

After doing this, Kristen even changed her career to provide Brandon with the best care possible. She now works with patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

Kristen later met, fell in love with and married James. According to the video, one of their first dates took place at church with Brandon.

James considers Brandon as another member of his and Kristen’s family. James even helps to care for Brandon as well, feeding and changing him.

What a wonderful, sweet and moving example of unconditional love from everyone.

Mystery Woman And Hero Cop Pull Unconscious Truck Driver From Burning Vehicle

Two people, a police officer and an unknown woman, put their lives in jeopardy in order to rescue a man from his engulfed semi-truck.

Way too many people are only motivated by what they can achieve and what they are able to obtain in life. Unfortunately, this thinking often leads to a selfish, self-centered outlook and concern. People will overlook and disregard the thoughts, feelings and concerns of others.

But two people, as a clip posted on YouTube illustrates, were so concerned about the safety of someone they didn’t even know that they put their own lives in danger.

The video shows a semi immediately after it struck a concrete barrier on an interstate in North Carolina. The crash left the driver completely unconscious. A police officer, Lt. Corey Brooks, races to the truck, opens the door and scrambles to unbuckle the seat belt and get the driver out.

Seconds later, the truck is engulfed in flames, shooting from the vehicle’s front end.

The officer eventually gets the driver out of the truck and onto the road, but he is having trouble pulling him away from the scene. Then, out of nowhere, a good Samaritan runs up to the scene. She begins assisting the officer, helping to pull the driver to safety.

Then, soon after the officer and the unknown woman get the driver away from the scene of the crash, the truck explodes.

But just as quickly as the woman approached the dangerous scene, she was gone. No one was able to get her name or show their appreciation for her heroic efforts.

“She came out of nowhere,” Lt. Brooks said. “She was like an angel. She was a partner, like we had worked together for years.”

The Lord placed the right people in the right spots at just the right time in order to save that man’s life.

Wife Of CAIN Lead Singer Shares Inspiring Testimony Of Overcoming Addiction

One woman, Emily Cain, the wife of the lead singer of the band CAIN, shared her stunning and moving testimony of overcoming a drinking problem and finding the Lord.

The world is often a dark, sad and lonely place. It’s inhabited by fallen and lost people who desperately need God’s comfort and healing. No one is perfect. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But through Jesus Christ, forgiveness and redemption are possible.

Even before she had her first drink, alcohol impacted Emily's life. It made for an unpleasant and chaotic childhood.

“The disease of alcoholism runs really heavily in my family,” Emily said in a video posted on YouTube. “And that caused a lot of chaos as a child growing up around that.”

However, those early unpleasant childhood experiences did not keep Emily from trying alcohol. In fact, she mentions that she started drinking before she could even drive. At just 12 years old, Emily said she began drinking.

“I started drinking when I was 12 years old,” Emily said. “I took my first drink. Whenever I could get it, whenever I could get away, any way to escape, I would, even as young as being in middle school.”

Over the years, Emily’s issues accelerated and multiplied. In addition to her drinking, Emily experienced anxiety and panic attacks while in college.

After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a nursing degree, Emily secured her dream job. She was a labor and delivery nurse at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. However, she still wasn’t fulfilled. She felt like something was missing.

“And I thought, like, ‘This is it. Like, I’ve done it.’ I overcame all these circumstances and here I am. I’ve got my dream job, but why do I still hate myself? Why do I still feel so sad and empty and lonely?”

These feelings of emptiness and sadness caused Emily to drink even more. During this time, her future husband, Logan, reached out on Instagram. The two bonded over cheerleading and became fast friends.

Logan then downloaded the Bible app on her phone. She was reluctant and resistant, believing she would never use that application. However, she then began attending church services.

But soon enough, Emily slowly began drinking again. But one night, after a shift, while driving home, God changed Emily’s life forever. She began thinking that maybe God was for her. Maybe she was designed for something greater.

“And again, these thoughts, they’re just, like, incessant. They just keep on coming, and I couldn’t get the thoughts to quiet down,” Emily said. “So, I was just, like, ‘OK, OK, God, if you’re real, then I’ll follow you. But I need you to show me because I don’t have anything left. I don’t know where else to go or what else I’m gonna do.’”

She felt the presence of God in her car that night. While driving down the road, the Lord met her and changed her heart and life.

‘By Grace Of God’ Stranger Pulls Paralyzed Man From Burning Car

A complete stranger came along and put her life at risk, and “by the grace of God,” she pulled a man paralyzed from the waist down out of a burning vehicle.

Life is a series of unexpected, unforeseen events. Some of those occurrences are welcome and joyous occasions. However, sometimes they do not produce any joy. In fact, they can be downright devastating and tragic. But during these trials and hardships, the love and kindness of others can make a world of difference. It can even save a life, as was the case for a Dallas, Texas, man.

Dennis Brown, who is confined to a wheelchair, was in a rental car when the vehicle burst into flames, according to a video posted on YouTube. The video of the scary incident shows the flames extending several feet from the front of the car, sending smoke high into the sky above.

Dennis mentioned that he had rented that vehicle several times before and stated that the car felt as if it was about to give out. When he looked up, he spotted the flames shooting from the car’s front end.

He then said a woman pulled him out of the burning car, moving him to safety. Dennis said that he would like to have the opportunity to show his gratitude to his rescuer, calling her move a “heroic act.”

But Dennis is not the only person grateful for saving his life. Dennis’ mother, Julia Brown, will be forever indebted to the mystery woman for what she did for her son.

“I cannot thank her enough,” Julia said. “Because if she hadn’t had pulled him out of there, he would have burned. She was his angel by the grace of God.”

That mother and son will be forever grateful for the heroic deed of that unnamed woman.

Man With No Arms And No Legs Shares Inspiring Testimony

One man, born without limbs, shared his powerful and inspiring testimony about how God has touched his life and is using him to win over people for Jesus Christ.

The world is often a sad, dark, dangerous and lonely place. Life is not a fair experience. Everyday living is hard enough and is made exceedingly more so by the cruel, ignorant and horrible things people say and do to one another.

Nick Vujicic knows all about the often harsh realities of life and about people’s mean, nasty remarks. In a video posted on YouTube, Nick, who has no arms and legs, explains how he went from attempting suicide as a child to winning souls for Christ.

Nick mentioned that after he was born, the doctor actually apologized to his parents.

“When the doctor saw me for the first time, they apologized to my parents that they did not pick it up in the ultrasound and give them an option to abort me,” Nick said.

Early in his life, at just 8 years old, Nick went into a depression. It was a dark period that lasted five years, ending in him attempting to take his own life. He was angry at the world and at God. He wanted a miracle, and no miracle ever happened.

But at 13, an injury to his foot made him come to a conclusion that changed his life.

“And I realized I gotta be thankful for what I have instead of being angry for what I don’t have,” Nick said.

Then, in high school, a janitor told Nick that after witnessing him speak, he'd travel the world talking about his life’s story. That janitor was right.

While Nick says he may never receive arms and legs, he already has the biggest miracle of all: salvation. Jesus Christ has saved his soul.

The Lord has also blessed him with a beautiful wife and four wonderful children.

Nick adds that he does not represent those without arms or legs. But instead, he represents “healed, brokenhearted people to let the brokenhearted know that you can be healed, and you can be a miracle, too.”

Psalm 66:16 “Come and hear, all you that fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.”

Brother With Down Syndrome Is The Most Caring Uncle

A young man with Down syndrome shows extraordinary levels of love, care and empathy while attending to his niece and nephew.

The world has a nasty and disgusting habit of taking one look at someone and making snap, instant judgments. Based on limited interactions or past experiences, people will box others in, believing they are incapable of doing this or that task. Unfortunately, people born with mental or physical disabilities most often receive this treatment.

However, those people usually exceed the expectations placed on them by others. A clip posted on YouTube shows the sweet, loving way an uncle with Down syndrome cares for and interacts with his sister’s children.

In the video, Erin Johnson admitted that her brother Matt surprised her when he was given the opportunity to care for children. She and her family always imagined that he would be the funny uncle, always ready to make them laugh. She says he provides plenty of laughs but has another gentler and loving side.

The video shows several short clips of Matt with his niece and nephew. He pushes them on the swing and gives them a sweet kiss on the forehead as he holds them in his arms.

“To see him so, like, soft and gentle and warm and, like, affectionate toward, like, little kids just kind of caught us all by surprise,” Erin said.

The video also mentions that Matt relates to the children when they get apprehensive and nervous whenever they try something new. It’s something that he himself has experienced.

Erin recalled a specific instance when her daughter was afraid to jump into the pull. Matt knew just what to do to ease her apprehension. In seconds, he had the young girl jumping into the pool.

Matt said he loves being an uncle and is thankful for the opportunity to care for his sister’s children.

If You're Struggling To Understand What God Is Doing In Your Life, Remember To Do This

Check out this video if you’re struggling to understand what God is doing in your life right now. This one woman shares some thoughts from her car that have resonated with many people already.

“If you’re struggling to understand what God is doing in your life right now, I have a word for you,” she says. “So yesterday, I was in a meeting and we all were talking about our faith journey and our God stories and our testimonies.“

“I remember talking about a certain part of my story, and I was like, all of these things were happening, and I couldn’t explain why these people were being nice to me for no reason or these opportunities were happening. And it had nothing to do with my power, and everyone had a very similar plotline like that. Things were happening that just were not in their power at all.”

She continues, “I think as human beings, we are so quick to forget, well a lot of things. I mean, I have forgotten what I ate for breakfast this morning, but we forget who God says he is. And I remember seeing a video of Jackie Hill Perry saying, ‘the Bible is a book of memories.’ We go back to the word because we have to remember who God says he is.”

“I would encourage you, if you are struggling to understand what the Lord is doing in your life, go back to who God says he is. Go read the word, go look back on your story, your God stories, your testimonies, and see the parts that were so mind-boggling in your story, that only God could have made that happen. Because we as humans are so easy to forget.”

How true is that? Praise the Lord that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And that His goodness and grace always cover us. We hope that this video was an encouragement for you today.

Police Officer And Stranger Save Baby Who Stopped Breathing On Train Platform

Two people, including a police officer, were in the right place at the right time and helped to save the life of a child who had stopped breathing.

Life is the most precious thing on earth. As such, it must be valued and protected at all costs. Loved ones can be here one minute and gone the next. The New Testament book of James describes our lives as a “mist.” It is “seen for a little time and then is gone.”

Understanding how precious life is, a video posted on YouTube shows a mother on a train platform frantically approaching a police officer when her child stopped breathing.

The video shows a mother at a train station running up to the officer in hysterics. The woman hands her child over to the police officer, who then turns the child over, facedown, and starts rapidly patting the child on the back.

Then, as the officer explains, someone else, a man who had been trained for such situations happened to walk up to the train platform.

“A retired paramedic came up, let me know that he is, you know, a retired EMT,” Officer Shaquille Perez said. “He took over, grabbed the baby, put him in the back seat of my squad car and needed some AC.”

The clip shows the retired emergency medical worker sitting with the child in the car, and seconds later, the child begins crying.

The police officer and the retired EMT helped save the child’s life! The Lord placed those two individuals in the right place at the right time.

However, the memory of the incident with the baby will remain with Officer Perez, who is about to become a father, for a long time.

“Something about, like, having that moment with the baby, I think it’ll probably stay with me the rest of my life,” he said.

Psalm 34:17 “The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
