Pull out the tissues and get ready for a beautifully moving video. In this clip, cheers erupt when a 6-year-old returns to school after beating cancer.
John Oliver is a 6-year-old living in Newbury, Ohio. He finally became cancer free and returned to school in January 2020. At the start of the video, we hear whispers of anticipation and see students of a variety of ages lined up in a hallway. They are all waiting to surprise and celebrate John for his recovery from his battle with cancer.
It is absolutely emotional watching this precious young boy walk through a crowd of students cheering for him. I cannot even imagine how he and his family must have felt in this humbling and motivating experience. John walks up to a friend or two and says hi. Then, we see his parents at the end of the tunnel of students and faculty waving at him. The dad has a shirt with #JoStrong on the back of it.
John waves at the crowd with a smile on his face. His mom gives him a kiss and a hug and his dad speaks with him and hugs him too. Then, the family poses for a picture together.
This community act of celebrating the victory of another is inspiring. This young boy John has gone through more than many of us could imagine. He was victorious and we can celebrate with this student body while watching. As believers, we are called to stand by each other. Believers are all part of the family of God. When our brothers or sisters mourn, we mourn with them, when they are celebrating, we celebrate with them. This school reminds us of the power of community.
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” Romans 12:15
Check out this fun video of a band on a truck that cheers for a young boy when he makes a basket playing basketball.
The wholesome moment that was captured in this home’s security camera is one that will bring a smile to your face. A young boy was playing basketball in his driveway with a friend when a truck drives in front of his house. As he was shooting around, the truck, which was filled with people, drove by. But the truck was not just filled with people, it was filled with people with band instruments! A mobile band! What a fun and exciting thing to see driving around your neighborhood!
As the young boy throws the basketball up at the hoop, the ball goes in and the truck full of people witness it going through the net. They all erupt in a cheer for the boy! What a fun moment that must have brought that young boy so much joy.
After the group lets out a loud cheer, they all start playing their band instruments as a way to celebrate the boy’s basket. And as they are driving away, the mobile band continues to play their fun music.
Now that is an exciting moment that that boy will not quickly forget! It reminds us that we should celebrate with others in life and share in their moments of happiness. We can use our actions and words to build people up or tear them down. But wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could always go out of our way to bring joy to those around us? That’s the way that God calls us to love. May we always love others well and love them extravagantly.
Galatians 5:14
“For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Listen to this trio on The Voice Blind Auditions perform Crosby, Stills & Nash's ‘Helplessly Hoping’ and get a 4-chair turn from the judges!
“Helplessly hoping her harlequin hovers nearby awaiting a word
Gasping at glimpses of gentle true spirit, he runs, wishing he could fly
Only to trip at the sound of goodbye”
The group is called Girl Named Tom, and they all sound incredible together! They perform an acoustic cover of ‘Helplessly Hoping’ with just their voices and a guitar. And the harmonies that they sing are so wonderful!
The trio are all siblings from Ohio, and the story behind their name is quite cute. The female of the group is named Becca, but she says that when she was a baby, her brothers would call her Thomas. And that’s how the group name Girl Named Tom was born!
Right at the start of their audition, Kelly Clarkson turned her chair around immediately. John Legend turned his chair around shortly after her. Later in the song, Blake Shelton turned his chair around, and Ariana Grande pushed the button for her chair right after. They were all stunned by the talent of Girl Named Tom and wanted the group to pick them as their coach!
When Kelly sees that all the judges have turned their chairs around, she says “Please pick me!” And Ariana rubs her arms to show that their singing has given her goosebumps.
Not only were the judges impressed by Girl Named Tom, but many people online shared their adoration for the talented group.
“This is a perfect harmony I've heard in a while. Their vocals are incredible and in sync. I hope they will make it far in the competition,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the audition clip.
“This is the best blind audition ever. Period. I would have pushed my button instantly,” writes another person online. “Tightest harmony I have ever heard, and I would like to point something out. Not only is this live and unedited, with insanely tight rhythm and plenty of fluidity at the same time, and perfect harmony as I said, BUT THEY AREN'T USING THE HOUSE BAND! Everything you hear is from those three individuals on stage and no one else. Most contestants cannot say that. Incredible, and they already have a memorable name.”
In the end, Girl Named Tom picked Kelly to be their coach. We can’t wait to see where they go in this competition!

Not only are there guardian angels who step up to be the hands and feet of Jesus, but one of them happens to be named Angel.
When Hurricane Ida stormed through Louisiana, it left a huge path of destruction with many people without power and others without homes. Without electricity, much-needed repairs couldn’t happen, and hospitals and other emergency services were struggling to serve the community.
But that’s when lineman from all across the country stepped up to restore power and let the rebuilding process begin for Louisiana. These men and women left their own homes and families to serve a community in need.
Much like deployed military, linemen see their work more as a calling than a ‘job.’ It’s a badge of honor to serve those affected by a disaster.
And for one woman named Angel Flood, she wanted to make sure the linemen knew how much their sacrifices and hard work were appreciated.
Angel rallied the community and enlisted volunteers to provide food for the workers. This guardian angel wanted to show the communities gratitude. And because of her efforts, the linemen received delicious meals even though no restaurants were open.
Fred Rogers famously shared that when times are tough, we look around for the helpers. In this case, there are lots of them! The linemen who served the community, and the community that served the linemen.
What a wonderful example of serving our fellow man and practicing gratitude! This CBS Sunday Morning story is a great reminder of how much good there is in the world. Even when things look grim, there is definitely a silver lining!
“Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in You my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by.” Psalm 57:12
Listen to one of the Celtic Thunder men sing the classic song, “Ave Maria.” At only 7 years old, Paul Byrom started singing lessons in Dublin and released his first solo album when he was just 14 years old. Clearly, Paul knew exactly why he was put on this earth and blessed with a beautiful voice! About 15 years ago, Celtic Men invited him to audition for the group and immediately brought him onboard. Within a year, he was performing with them for President Obama, his family, and his guests at the White House. After 5 years with Celtic Men, he left to work on his solo career. In his 25+ years in the music industry, Paul has released a handful of albums and performed all over the world. This performance of “Ave Maria” is from one of Celtic Thunder’s Christmas concerts. “Ave Maria” was originally written by the Austrian composer, Franz Schubert, in 1825. About 15 years earlier, Walter Scott wrote The Lady of the Lake, the poem that inspired the lyrics of “Ave Maria.” Over time, the song became a prayer in the Roman Catholic church even though it wasn’t originally written in a religious context. The piece made its way across the globe and gained its biggest audience in Disney’s Fantasia in 1940. What we know as one of the most recognizable prayer songs, some people may only know from a Disney movie — how about that! The calming tune will always hold a special place in our hearts and ears and remind us of the joy and love on Christmas day. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. Luke 1:46-49

Check out this talented family orchestra put a fun new spin on classical music with the performance on Britain’s Got Talent.
For this act, a family orchestra known as the Kanneh-Masons give it all they got with an incredible medley of classical and modern tunes. They are all brothers and sisters who are so talented and play with so much passion!
On stage, three are playing the violin, one is on the piano, and two are playing the cello. While they are playing on stage, the lights and smoke add to the fun ambiance that their performance gives. And it is so entertaining to see them interact with one another and play off each other on stage.
The siblings go from playing a classical song to a pop song in a seamless transition. They truly make classical music fun! What an impressive performance!
“I just think as a family and a family of musicians, you’re absolutely extraordinary,” says Amanda, one of the judges on Britain’s Got Talent. “And I think the best thing is that so many younger people might think this kind of music is stuffy, and you give it personality and character and fun. And I think you probably could introduce it to a whole new audience of people that never really appreciated that kind of music before.”
Simon also shared his enthusiasm for the family orchestra after they finished their act. “Well you know what guys, when you got it you got it, right?” he says to them with a smile. “And the preparation you put into that, I loved the different choices of music…I can see this act going all over the world, and maybe, you could be the most talented family in the world.”
Now that is some high praise coming from Simon! We hope that you enjoyed watching this fun performance of the Kanneh-Masons on BGT!

Watch this adorable baby elephant enjoy her playtime in the sand — guaranteed to bring a little happiness to your day!
Little Pyi Mai recently got to play around in a pile of freshly delivered sand, and clearly, she had the time of her life! After she seemingly rolled around in the mud, Pyi Mai went straight to the mound of sand.
Pyi Mai lives with her elephant family and other Asian elephants at Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. Since the 1990s, the ‘Save Elephant Foundation’ has funded the sanctuary and provided a rescue center for struggling elephants from all over the country.
Sangdeaun Lek Chailert founded the ‘Save Elephant Foundation,’ a nonprofit organization aiming to improve the treatment of elephants. Lek grew up in a family with a strong love for animals and decided to devote her life to the welfare of elephants.
In the video, Lek sits right on top of the sand mound encouraging the baby to dive into the sand. It didn’t take much encouragement because Pyi Mai was all too happy to jump right in. She even attempted to climb up to Lek to play with her!
The sand quickly moved out from under the baby’s hundreds of pounds, and Pyi Mai fell back to the bottom. That didn’t stop her from enjoying the brand new sand though!
Later on, the adorable baby returned to the sand pile with her family. You can see her rolling around at the bottom and rubbing her face in it. It’s just too pure! These beautiful creatures embrace sand with excitement while I can’t stand how it gets everywhere!
After rolling around for a while, Pyi Mai seemed to get a little hungry. So, this goofy gal slid right off the hill onto her feet and found the closest snack to munch on. What a perfect day!
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Weddings are unique and full of twists these days, but it’s hard to imagine a better surprise than seeing this groom drop to his knee and propose adoption to his new stepdaughters! This handsome husband, backed by four groomsmen, gained a bunch of new admirers just after saying “I do” with the speech he delivered to two little girls.
We never see Mom to these pretty tween girls, but we are touched by the emotional face of one of the two girls, who is directly in front of the camera throughout the video. The groom, wearing a pink tie and pocket square with his blue suit, matches the girls. They are dressed in white, pink-sashed dresses, and they wear their hair in perfect buns. They may be twins, or perhaps the one facing the camera is just a bit older.
It appears the two have been called closer for the groom to speak with them. And, the words he says are life-changing! The groom begins by telling his little ladies how being a father figure to them has helped him grow into a man. He identifies the functions of a father, and he reveals that he has become a better version of himself by stepping into the role.
The girl facing the camera is crying; her lips tremble and tears roll down her face. She looks across at her sister and up to her new stepdad as he speaks. We see from behind her sister reach up to wipe away tears. Then, the sister in full view takes her whole hand and wipes her wet face.
But, when the groom says the word “official” and starts to bend down, our full-view sister is catching on. She is first a bit stunned. Then, a smile crawls across her damp face. And, by the time his proposal of adoption is spoken, she is declaring “yes” and going in for the hug. Her “twinster” falls in behind.
Mom must be sobbing somewhere off camera because this is just so good! Of course, our groomsmen are unmoved--Not! The second one in line surely wears those dark glasses, because he knew this was coming. And, the third groomsman pinches the bridge of his nose at the corners of his eyes. Clearly, he’s not hiding anything at all! Weddings don’t get much better than this!
“The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him.” Proverbs 23:24
It is always special to hear unexpected talents come out of nowhere. In this video, nurse Vaughn overcomes his nerves to impress the judges on The Voice.
Vaughn Mugol’s voice is that of a superstar. He has such a natural ability and incredible vocal finesse. Vaughn is from Beaumont, Texas. Kelly Clarkson and John Legend turn their chairs very quickly into Vaughn’s performance of A Team by Ed Sheeran. Next up, Ariana Grande turns. Blake never turns, but that might be because he is not looking for a pop singer anymore. This guy wowed the judges and the audience.
Ariana tells him how amazing that he is at singing. She encourages him in his nerves that she could help him perfect that if she was his judge. John then jumps in and Kelly, fighting for the opportunity to be this singer’s coach. John asks about Vaughn’s history and training.
Vaughn responds that he is an RN and mostly just sings to his patients. The judges are in awe. They explain that his level of vocal control and breathing techniques are very impressive.
Blake gives Ariana one more time to finish out her pitch to be his judge after Kelly shows a “Team Kelly” jacket. Blake asks Vaughn who he wants to be his coach. The video ends with each judge encouraging him. He says, “With a leap of faith, I pick…”
What we witness in this video is true God-given talent. When the judges were amazed at how someone could be so skilled vocally without any training, we know that the answer is the Lord. Sometimes people are entrusted with a talent or skill that clearly could only come from the hand of God with no human intervention of perfecting. Although we are human and can always improve our abilities, we know that we can know the fact is that the Creator gives every good and perfect gift.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17
“Praynksters” are a group that likes to spread kindness through humor. And in this video, the group brings us a real tear-jerker. They surprise a young woman, who aged out of the foster care system since she was never adopted, with her dream wedding!
Jeffrey Agosta is the man behind the “Praynksters” celebration, and it’s an awesome display of generosity for a woman who has been given very little along the way.
As the video opens, Kristianna thinks she is being interviewed for a documentary. She shares pieces of her painful past, describing the abuse that started when she was 4 years old. Kristianna suffered broken bones and a concussion, moving in and out of foster care. But, it is heartbreaking to hear her tell about the loss of her best friend.
After being at a sleepover at Kristianna’s home and witnessing Kristianna’s enraged father beat and abuse her, Kristianna’s friend shared the horrible story with her own parents. She was never allowed to go to Kristianna’s house again. That must have been a tremendous blow for Kristianna, having so few people in her life to count on for support and encouragement.
Kristianna appears frail and a bit timid, but this girl is one strong chick. In spite of the chaos in her young life, she’s done amazing things. Kristianna has held two or three jobs simultaneously since becoming old enough to work. She’s helped care for her siblings while working and going to school. She earned a 4.2 g.p.a. in high school and didn’t stop there. Kristianna went on to college and became a Respiratory Therapist. And, she helped author the “Foster Care in Youth Bill of Rights.” How appropriate for her to lend her voice to such an important document!
Here’s where Jeff comes into the picture. Kristianna’s final response pertains to her upcoming wedding and the challenges of paying for it. She’s not able to create the day she’s dreamed of, because she has limited funds.
Jeff explains that she’s not really there for an interview. Instead, she’s there, because a lot of folks have come together to make her wedding all she’s hoped for. Businesses are gifting Kristianna with bridal make-up, catering, a wedding cake, marriage counseling, a honeymoon, and more! Jeff hugs Kristianna and assures her, “Because you’re the most deserving person we could have found. You 100% deserve this.”
The shower does not end there. Kristianna is greeted by a room full of people with cards, gifts, and well wishes. She is beyond joyful and grateful to all that “PRAYnksters” and partners have done for her. Isn’t it nice when someone so nice gets a blessing!
We’re given a glimpse of Kristianna and her groom on their big day. She is gorgeous!
Jeff and his gang are based primarily in Idaho, where they do team-building, inspirational videos, speaking engagements, and more—all with the goal of making people laugh and helping those in need.
“He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.” Deuteronomy 10:18
There have been some incredible performances done on live television. This video shows the best ABBA covers from the X Factor UK.
James Arthur, Rylan Clark, Union J. Acacia & Aaliyah, Jahmene, and Douglas perform in this video. Each performance in this video has its own flavor to the ABBA covers. We first see a talented young man playing guitar and hitting notes effortlessly. His voice is so unique and easy to listen to. He sings with passion “How can I carry on?”
Then, a guy performs a special version of “Mamma Mia.” He is in a checkered outfit with human chess pieces dancing on a chessboard. He grooves to the music and he gets the crowd clapping. Suddenly confetti falls from the sky in an all-out performance.
Next up, a boy band completely blows it out of the water. The group sings in perfect unity together as they go through the crowd of screaming fans. The girls go wild over their performance. The boy band goes around the judges and stands confidently singing their melody.
Afterward, two female hip-hop singers performed their rendition of “Money, Money, Money.” They have incredible energy, voices, and dance moves. Lastly, a young man is shown in a sweet moment at the mic. He finishes the melody so beautifully. As he belts there is a smoke machine in front of him making him appear to be singing in the clouds.
Each of these performers was unique and brought their all to the show. Even though we may not be singing in a talent competition, we are called as believers to give our best to God, just like these singers did.
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17
