War Room

Worship is the art of warfare where battle are won. It's the art of inspiration, imagination and intercession. It's where believe thrive and live daily.

THE LORDS PRAYER // MATTHEW 6:5-13

Jesus was concerned about fake religion, so He instructed His disciples not to use religious activities to look good in public. He also taught them how to pray and gave them this simple model of prayer.

Effective prayer is not magic; it’s not about speaking the right string of words or using the correct formula.

Instead, it’s about communicating on a heart-to-heart level with the God of the universe.

He gave them a simple model of prayer that includes honoring God as our Father and praying for His coming kingdom. The prayer closes with acknowledgment of God as King of all.

Jesus stressed in the words that immediately follow the prayer

Daughter's TikTok Videos Help Save Parent's Dying Restaurant

Tiktok may seem like a social media pit for kids, but in God’s hands, it becomes a powerful tool. A daughter’s TikTok videos help save her parents dying restaurant.

Jennifer Le watched as her parents waited day in and day out for a single customer at their family-owned Lee’s Noodle House restaurant. They had been hard-pressed between the California wildfires and the pandemic. Jennifer watched as they cleaned vacant tables and watched the door.

The family visited their grandparents' graves and then prayed, asking God for some kind of intervention. But they never expected it to come from Jennifer’s seven-second TikTok post. She posted she felt sad watching her parents waiting for customers to come into the restaurant.

Second seconds on TikTok was all it took to reach more than a million people online. Customers began to trickle in. When Jennifer told her parents about her post, they were surprised. Then they became grateful. Soon the restaurant was flooded with customers.

It was hard to even get a table, much less find standing room to wait for a take-out order. God is so good. Just when we are at the end of our rope, he intervenes and surprises us in ways we never imagined. May God continue to bless this family, and may they continue to thrive!

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work,” 2 Corinthians 9:8.

Severely Matted Dog Undergoes Incredible Transformation

Thanks to a good samaritan, this dog finally has something to smile about. A severely matted dog undergoes an incredible transformation after being rescued from the streets.

Damjan of Serbia noticed this poor pup wandering the streets. Damjan took one look at him and knew he needed to get help for the dog right away. But the dog wasn’t so keen on getting help even though he had to have been in pain. It took over two hours of gentle coaxing and a few treats before Damjan got the dog into a kennel.

That’s when the transformation happens. The dog realizes he’s in good hands, and a glimmer of hope shines through his eyes. The dog was taken to a vet and put under sedation to remove the matting. It was so severe his entire body was shaved. It took several hours to remove all the matted fur. Damjan explained, “His fur was so heavy and so hard. It was like a piece of wood.”

Typically when dogs are groomed, sedation isn’t needed, but the Vet wanted to spare the dog the pain of removing so much fur. Several hours later, the weight had been lifted. Underneath the matting was a gorgeous black dog who was ready for belly scratches.

The dog came out of the grooming session looking like a new dog. Later, the video reveals a happy dog enjoying a walk with Damjan. He was surprised at how well-trained the dog seemed to be.

“He’s walking near my leg. The leash is not tight. He’s not pulling. I don’t have to pull him,” Damjan said as he took the dog for a walk to stretch his legs. It seems the dog was incredibly grateful for the help he received from Damjan. This sweet dog not only got a second chance, but he also became a traveler too. He was adopted by a family in England, and now he’s living the life he deserves.

Anne Wilson Shares Her Favorite Bible Verse

Life is not always a fun and enjoyable time. In fact, there are often many instances when circumstances and situations are rather challenging, demanding and unpleasant.

Unfortunately, everyone will encounter these unpleasant and troubling times, at one time or another. In fact, God’s Word tells us that we will all experience such trials and tribulations on this earth.

In a video posted on YouTube, Grammy-nominated Christian music artist Anne Wilson read off one of her favorite pieces of Scripture, which comes from 1 Peter.

“In this, you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be you have been grieved by various trials,” she reads. “That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

What a wonderful promise from God that, even during troubles, He is still working and is in control!

Anne also states that those verses come from 1 Peter 6-7. The musician also explains why those words from the New Testament book mean so much to her.

“I love that Scripture and the reminder that we’re going to go through hard times on this earth,” she said. “We’re going to suffer through things. But there’s a promise that it’s going to be OK in the end, that God has a plan and it’s all for his glory and honor.”

Yes, it is true that all of us will endure these awful, even painful periods of time. However, God’s Word also mentions, throughout the Bible, that He will never leave us or forsake us during our time of need.

Hebrews 13:5 “Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, ‘I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.’”

Blind Boy Sings 'My Heart Will Go On' At Nana's Funeral

You have to see this touching video of a young blind boy singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ to dedicate to his Nana at her funeral.

“My nephew dedicated this song to our nana at her celebration of life,” reads the caption of this video that was shared on TikTok. The little boy in the video is named Bentley, and as soon as he opens his mouth to sing this sweet song, his precious little voice is full of so much tender love and care.

“Every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on, far across the distance and spaces between us
You have come to show you go on
Near, far, wherever you are, I believe that the heart does go on”

What a heartwarming performance, and one that was sure to have brought a tear to many eyes during the service.

Little Bentley is also blind and has a rare condition called Septo-optic dysplasia. So, he overcame a lot to be able to sing that song for his Nana at her celebration of life. What a brave and sweet little boy!

Haley Bonds is Bentley’s aunt, and she shared that after his performance of ‘My Heart Will Go On,’ there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. She said that his singing “definitely pulled on everyone’s heartstrings.”

Bentley did such a wonderful job, and his Nana would be so proud of him. We are praying for him and his family amidst their loss, and may they feel God’s peace and comfort during this time of grief and sadness.

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Middle School Band Performs Insane Cover Of 'Sweet Child Of Mine'

You have to check out this insane cover of ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ by a talented middle school band.

“She's got a smile that it seems to me, reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then, when I see her face, she takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long, I'd probably break down and cry”

These kids are really bringing it with their performance of ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ by Guns N’ Roses! What great energy they have on that stage! And each one of them is so talented; they really gave it their all for this one!

“For my school's holiday concert, our band director thought that it would be fun if we were to do a cover of the famous Guns N' Roses song, ‘Sweet Child O' Mine.’ When our band has covered songs in the past, we typically have dressed according to the time period and genre of music,” reads the caption of the YouTube video.

“For this song, our band director told us to come in black leather and the whole punk look. The holiday concert is the biggest performance of the year, with about every family at the school attending. To fit all of these people, the concert takes place in a giant church near our school. Needless to say, playing this song for such a large crowd was immensely fun.”

After the middle schoolers finished their stellar performance, they got a standing ovation from the audience. What an amazing show!

“This music director for this school is what we need in all the schools,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “Kids were awesome.”

“Man, this gave me chills. These kids were great!” another person writes online. “Music director was awesome. Singer has a strong voice, guitarist was incredible, bass sounded excellent, drummer on point. What a performance!”

We hope that you enjoyed this awesome cover of ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ by this middle school band today!

Be Encouraged by this Quick, Righteous Reminder. Our flesh directs us to rely on what we can do to cope and deal with life. It encourages us to depend on ourselves. The Spirit directs us to rely on what God has done, to cope and deal with life. It encourages us to depend on God. These two are in opposition to each other. Galatians 5:17 says, For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. Best Juggler of All Time' on Ellen Show

April 18 th is International Jugglers Day. I know. I didn’t know there was such a day.

Well, Anthony Gatto deserves the recognition. He makes juggling look easy. Anthony was born in Manhattan. His stepfather taught him to juggle at a very young age. By age five,, his skills had surpassed his stepfather’s.

He became a world-class juggler by the age of nine, and his family moved to Las Vegas when he was 14 to advance his career. He currently holds nine juggling world records and has performed all over the world, including Paris, Australia, Italy, Belgium, and Mexico.

He also performed in England in presence of the Queen Mother and the Prince and Princess of Wales!

In this video, Ellen starts off sitting in her usual comfy chair and introduces Anthony saying, “Time magazine called him the best juggler ever.”

As upbeat music starts to play, Anthony starts out bouncing a ball off his face. He is wearing a beautiful blue-green sparkly outfit. He is tapping his feet out to the sides, almost as if he is dancing.

A little sneaky clown comes in and throws different items for him to juggle. This is actually his wife, Danielle.

During the performance, Anthony juggles a variety of items, including balls, hoops, and pins.

He juggles so many items at one time and so fast that one cannot count how many items he is using. He tosses items behind his back and spins around, which makes the crowd ooh and aah. At one point, he balances a stick with little containers on it and juggles what look like ping pong balls and tosses them all up, and catches them in the baskets attached to the stick.

Ellen joins Anthony and calls the performance unbelievable. She then asks if he can teach her how to juggle. He asks if she is right-handed or left-handed, and in typical Ellen humor, she says, “Right. I don’t think that matters really.” She impressively juggles three balls with Anthony’s help.

Workers In Turkey Rescue Dog Trapped Under Rubble For 60 Hours

Check out this video to see heroic workers in Turkey rescue a dog who had been trapped under rubble for 60 hours.

Turkey and the surrounding area have recently experienced horrific earthquakes that have caused tremendous damage. And the known death toll from the devastating earthquakes impacting Turkey and Syria has climbed to over 44,000.

Many videos have come out with people and animals being rescued from the rubble, and this video in particular, shows the rescue of a dog named Pambuk.

Pambuk was stuck in deep rubble for almost 60 hours after one of the deadly earthquakes brought the place where he was living to the ground. Pambuk’s owner was injured in the earthquake and was taken to the intensive care unit at a local hospital.

While Pambuk’s owner was away, the dog patiently waited to be rescued. Thank goodness these rescuers came along to save him!

In the video, you can see a handful of rescuers working to save the dog. While one person is petting the dog and trying to comfort it, others are tirelessly working to dig away the rubble to get the animal to safety.

Pambuk can be heard whimpering in pain during some points of the rescue, but he must also be so relieved to know that people are trying to set him free after being trapped under rubble for so long.

Thank the Lord for these brave rescuers who saved this dog’s life! And after some tender love and care, Pambuk will be able to heal after such a traumatic event.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all those who have been affected by these devastating earthquakes. May the Lord be near and of great comfort to those walking through this hard time.

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Judge Shares Important Lesson After Son Gets A Ticket

Life is not very pleasant at times. Circumstances may not always play out in our favor, but nevertheless powering through is usually our only and often best option. One judge shared this hard lesson, which impacted his family.

In a YouTube clip of the program “Caught in Providence,” a young woman was addressing Judge Frank Caprio. She was in court to dispute a parking ticket.

As the woman explains to the benevolent judge, she is a student at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. However, due to her financial situation, she cannot afford the additional $700 fee to use the parking garage next to her residence hall on campus. So instead, she paid a smaller amount to park her vehicle in another area.

But by the time she leaves work and returns to campus, there are no places left but street parking. However, because her car was in a place where parking is not permitted during a designated time, she received a $20 ticket.

The judge, before ruling, says that his son – a lawyer – also recently received a parking ticket. His son explained the situation to his father, but the judge told him to go ahead and pay the ticket anyway.

The judge’s son is even sitting in the courtroom as the judge tells the young woman this story. His son even holds up his receipt from paying the ticket!

However, the judge has mercy on the young woman and agrees to dismiss her parking ticket. He then wishes her good luck as he sends her on her way.

The world is a tough place, but everyone needs a little bit of mercy now and then.

Micah 6:8 “He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?”

Retired Marine Said Prayer Right Before Finding Missing 2-Year-Old

There cannot be a scarier scenario for a parent than realizing your child is missing. Those moments of uncertainty must drive parents crazy with fear and worry. That exact situation recently happened to parents in Florida, but thanks to a volunteer who said a prayer, the child was found safe.

In late February, Joshua Rowland, a 2-year-old, went missing in central Florida. Law enforcement in the area scrambled to find the missing child. Law enforcement went all out in their search. Several teams helped in the search. They also used drones, helicopters and canines.

A group of volunteers also aided law enforcement in the frantic search for the child. They joined the search the morning following Joshua’s disappearance.

One member of that volunteer search party was Roy Link, a retired Marine veteran, according to a video posted to YouTube. Right before Roy started looking for the child at 8:15 a.m., Roy mentioned he said a prayer. Then, soon after starting his search, around 10:45 a.m., Roy came across Joshua.

Roy found the little child safe and unharmed, according to a 911 call recording. Joshua is heard saying that he wants “mommy.”

Praise God!

The Hernando County, Florida sheriff, briefing the media, said Joshua, who was “quite a ways from home,” “was not abducted” and “was found in the woods and seems to be fine.”

In the video, the sheriff also mentioned that Joshua would have a heck of a story to share with his future children and grandchildren.

What a beautiful story about the power and importance of prayer. The Lord obviously answered Roy’s prayer! He kept His hand of protection over the child while Joshua was missing. As the clip mentions, Joshua was returned to his mother.

Ephesians 6:18 “With prayers and deep desires, making requests at all times in the Spirit, and keeping watch, with strong purpose, in prayer for all the saints.”

Crowd Supports Cheerleader Performing By Herself After Teammates Quit

Success in life requires a fair amount of commitment, dedication and perseverance. One high school student in the Midwest showed that she possesses all three of those personality traits.

One video on social media has been getting a lot of attention. The video, posted on YouTube, shows a young woman performing at the Nebraska State High School Cheer and Dance Championships. She has no teammates, performing and representing her school all by herself.

The lone young woman, Katrina Kohel, is heard yelling, can be seen holding up signs and jumping around during her routine. During her routine something truly beautiful happened!

The crowd came through for Katrina. Throughout her routine, the crowd cheers, claps wildly and responds loudly to Katrina whenever she asks them to shout out her school’s letters. What an amazing sight of kindness and love.

The young woman certainly appreciated the support from the crowd.

“I probably had the loudest crowd involvement there. Everybody was cheering with me, and it was an amazing feeling,” she said, according to the Omaha World-Herald.

Katrina was the only person remaining on her school’s cheer squad after her three other teammates quit. To make matters worse, the three other students quit just a week and a half before the competition, the Omaha World-Herald reports

Instead of giving up and throwing in the towel, Katrina decided to keep going. The senior said she wanted to perform in the competition, even if that meant doing it by herself, the outlet reports.

So, with little time left before the state competition, Katrina and her coach reworked the routine to make it work solo.

This video is a wonderful example of kindness and love, people supporting the efforts of one young woman who refused to quit when it would have been much easier to do so.

Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance.”

Mark Wahlberg Opens Up On Faith and His Journey This Lent

Mark Wahlberg has been a recognizable face for decades, starring in such hit films as Father Stu, The Departed and Lone Survivor. The Hollywood actor is also very outspoken about his faith and relationship with God.

Mark appeared on the Today Show, where he sat down with Savannah Guthrie and talked about Lent, faith and the role faith plays in his life. Faith, Mark says, is a big part of who he is, even if Hollywood may frown upon religion and faith.

“I don’t want to jam it down anybody’s throat,” Mark said. “But I do not deny my faith, that’s an even bigger sin. You know, it’s not popular in my industry but, you know, I cannot deny my faith. It’s important for me to share that with people.”

Mark also mentioned how faith and God have made him a better person.

“God did not come to save the saints. He came to save the sinners,” Mark said. “We’ve all had things and issues in our lives, and we want to be better versions of ourselves and through focusing my faith, it’s allowed me to do that.”

When it comes to Lent, most people associate it with fasting and giving up food. However, Mark explains that it does not have to be food.

“There are many different elements to fasting,” Mark said. “I think the important thing to understand is if, first of all, if you have issues with food, there are other things. God knows the things that he wants you to detach from.”

He added that Lent and his faith, as a whole, has taught him discipline, which has served him well in his career and personal life. Specifically, Mark said that throughout Lent he will refrain from eating any meat on Fridays. Also, he added that he will only eat one meal on Fridays during this period prior to Easter.

Near the end of the interview, Mark talked about his family, setting an example for his children and how he starts every day.

“I want them to gravitate toward it [faith] in a very natural way,” Mark said. “I want them to understand that dad has to start his day by getting on his hands and his knees and no matter where I am, the priority on Sunday is to go to church.”

Mark 16:15 “And he said to them, ‘Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Local Florist Gives Flowers to Hundreds of Widows

When loss becomes a part of your, it’s hard to imagine joy being birth out of sorrow. Grief comes in waves but that doesn’t mean we can’t find a way to create goodness in the midst of it. Ashley Manning of Charlotte, North Carolina did just that. This local florist gives flowers to hundreds of widows–helping them celebrate and remember and celebrate past memories.

Ashley started this project because she wanted to “show love to those who are hurting,” according to her Instagram. She began the Valentine’s Day Widow Outreach Project about a year after she started her own florist shop. The idea to show love and compassion to widows came to her because “Showing love and compassion to our neighbors can change someone’s life.” She added, “Thinking about others first, giving your time or your treasure or talent can make an impact far greater than you can see. I hope this project inspires you to listen to that little voice when it calls.”

The little voice Ashley paid attention to helped ease the pain of losing their loved ones to roughly 800 widows on Valentine’s Day. The flowers she gave were single roses or simple arrangements. The bouquets given were stunning, complex, and beautiful. Likely, each bouquet was worth hundreds of dollars but Ashley was able to create these stunning statement pieces through donations.

Can you imagine the joy and love blooming in the hearts of widows on a day that was made to celebrate love? The Bible reminds us to be kind and compassionate to one another. I certainly hope this story inspires you to listen to that still-small voice and find a way to put others first.

“Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another,” Colossians 3:12.
